About
Matthew P. Masiel
Growing up in rural Southeast Missouri, I wanted to either construct buildings or work in law enforcement (serve the community). At Vanderbilt, I studied engineering and did Army ROTC. Upon graduation from Washington University Olin School of Business, I worked in community development for a major bank and a private institution for nine years focusing on low-income development projects across the country. In 2016, I started Screaming Eagle Development to focus on the adaptive reuse of historic buildings predominantly in low-income communities. Screaming Eagle is currently working on the development of four buildings with a total development cost of $63 million.
